YES ImPower 2 Program for empowerment

YES did it again – connected the Armenian youth with Armenian professionals from all over the world to learn from each other, listen to each other, support and develop together!

The ImPower 2 Youth Mentoring Program was implemented in May-July, and brought together 20 young people from rural Armenia and Javakhq, Georgia, who were connected with their Mentors from different parts of the world – from Armenia to Canada, from the USA to Italy and beyond. All selected Mentors were high-level professionals in their fields and ready to generously share their own relevant experience with the youth. 20 working duos have worked together to develop education and future career plans in such fields as marketing, finance, content writing, law, education, IT, medicine, management and so much more.

In addition to develop professionally, the Mentees had a chance to improve their life skills, connect with their peers from all over Armenia and found friends in Javakhq, Georgia, all became more self-confident and brave in their actions, and definitely are now much closer to bringing their dreams into reality.

As part of the ImPower 2 Program the Mentees have also done amazing team work, while developing their project ideas to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Armenia and why not globally.

The official graduation of the ImPower 2 Program took place on July 30th in Vanadzor, Lori, and was hosted by the Vanadzor Fine Arts Museum. After the graduation ceremony the ImPower 2 alumni had a chance to tour in Vanadzor and celebrate their graduation by spending a day together!
